Recycling and trash collection is every Monday.  Branch chipping is the 1st and 3rd weeks of April, May, June, July, August, September, and October.

The below items are picked up every Monday (please set out no earlier than 6 PM Sunday evening).  Use a sturdy bin, can or another open container for the recyclables.   All items may be co-mingled; no separating is necessary. We ask that in case of heavy snow or winds over 20 mph, you use discretion in placing your recycling out to prevent the recycling from blowing out of the container.

The following items are collected each week on a Monday:
–  Plastics #1 thru #7
–  Glass in clear, brown and green (no window panes)
–  Tin and aluminum cans
–  Cardboard (must be flattened)

Newspapers and office paper can be recycled at the paper retriever bins located at the police station on Colonial Drive.

Please view the following link to Whitetail Disposal for details on what acceptable and not acceptable when recycling:

* Place branches where you place your trash.
* We can spend no more than 10 minutes at any given stop.
* Stacking branches in an orderly fashion as close to the alley as possible saves pick up time. You may place smaller branches in a container to assist the crew.
* Branches must be less than 2 inches in diameter.
* We cannot remove downed trees.
*Remove all soil and dirt from shrub roots.
* No boards or lumber, and no weeds

Christmas trees are chipped each week in January.

Points to Remember About Trash Collection

1.  Only four bags of trash a week per residence may be placed out for collection, not to exceed the 50-pound weight limit.

2.  All bags must be closed securely to avoid any rubbish from being scattered by animals or the wind.

3.  Do not tie your trash bag to the handle of your Can. This is not acceptable and may result in your trash being left behind.

4.  Trash bags must be placed out on the night before the scheduled pickup day.

5.  All trash must be placed in a Borough bag.  Tying bags around receptacles is not acceptable.

6.  Keep in mind that failure to follow these rules will result in your trash not being taken away.

7.  During holidays, the schedule may change.
