Pollution Reduction Plan
Notice is hereby given that East Greenville Borough is proposing to submit a Revised Pollution Reduction Plan (PRP) to PADEP. The Plan specifies the activities proposed to reduce the total phosphorus levels discharging from the East Greenville Borough storm sewer system in accordance with the requirements established by PADEP for the NPDES Stormwater Discharges from Small Municipal Separate Storm Sewer Systems (MS4) program.
In 2019, PADEP approved the Borough’s PRP which selected streambank restoration as the BMP to reduce the total phosphorus. The Borough has selected an alternate location for the streambank restoration project to be located along a branch of the Perkiomen Creek which flows through the Borough property at 1200 Water Street.
The Revised PRP is available for public review at the Borough Municipal Building or on the municipal website (www.egreenville.org).
Notice is hereby given that the Revised Pollution Reduction Plan is available for public review and comment for a period of thirty (30) days from the date of this posting at the Borough Building, 206 Main Street, East Greenville, PA. The Borough will receive and consider comments on the Pollution Reduction Plan at a public meeting scheduled for January 6, 2025, at 7:00 P.M. at the Borough Building. All comments must be submitted in writing and addressed to Mr. James Fry at the Borough Building by January 3, 2025.
A full copy of the plan is available HERE.
